Johannesburg, Sept.7 (ANI): Former South African skipper Graeme Smith has been named as the new ambassador of Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
Confirming the news, chairperson of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation South Africa, Morne du Plessis, said that they were honoured to have Graeme Smith on board as an ambassador, adding that they are confident that Smith would serve as a great addition to the Laureus family,Sport24 reported.
Smith, who joined a remarkable list of sports icons supporting and promoting Laureus, said that he is excited and honoured to work with the foundation and will try his best to help uplift the local communities.
The mission of the Laureus foundation is to use sports as a means to combat some of the world’s toughest social challenges facing by young people. (ANI)
