Greeks reject bailout referendum terms after over 61 percent vote ‘No’

London, July 6 (ANI): Greek voters have rejected the conditions of the international bailout referendum with more than 61 percent people selecting the “No” vote.

According to BBC, the final result showed 61.3 percent “No” vote against 38.7 percent “Yes”.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said that Greece had voted for a ‘Europe of solidarity and democracy’, after his party, the Syriza, had claimed that the bailout terms were humiliating and had campaigned for a “No”.

Meanwhile, the opponents of the Syriza have warned that a “No” vote could eject Greece from the eurozone. (ANI)
