Recalled meat productsOTTAWA – IGA Port McNeill is recalling the meats and meat products described below due to the possible presence of metal shavings. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below.

The following products have been sold at the IGA located at 1705 Campbell Way, Port McNeill, British Colombia.

IGA, Extra Lean Ground Beef, Variable sizes, Starting  with codes 200117, 200089, 200115. Lean Ground Pork, variable sizes, Starting with code 20009. Seasoned Meatballs, variable sizes, starting with code 00727.

What you should do

Check to see if you have the recalled products in your home. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

This warning was triggered by the company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of these or other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings. – CNW
