Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief Avtar Singh Makkar said Bollywood movie “Flying Jatt” could only be released after certain objectionable contents are deleted.

The SGPC is demanding that use of ‘khanda’, a Sikh religious symbol, by the hero of the film Tiger Shroff on his back and his attire be removed from the film.

In a statement on Tuesday, Makkar said the film had been reviewed by a committee formed by the SGPC and the movie makers — Balaji Motion Pictures — had been told to remove the objectionable scenes. He said the movie makers have agreed to delete contents which could hurt Sikh sentiments.

In an earlier report the director Remo de Souza said the film does not have any words with double meanings.

The film is slated to be released on August 25. – CINEWS
