Halton Police hunting for fugitive

Oakville,  April 29 (CINEWS): It is week #17 for  “Fugitive Friday” initiative of Halton Regional Police Service, whereby the force reaches out to the public to help locate wanted persons and hold them accountable for their actions.

There are numerous people who continue to evade the police and the court system and continue to live out in our communities while having a warrant for their arrest in place.

Every Friday, Halton Regional Police Offender Management Unit  shares information on a wanted person in hopes that the public can assist in locating the individual.

The 2 District, Offender Management Unit is searching for Fernando Ferreira, 42 years, of Oakville.  It is alleged that in 2014 Ferreira was convicted of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with his Undertaking. He was then sentenced and placed on a Probation Order and has since failed to Comply with the Order.  The accused has not been located and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He is now wanted by Halton Regional Police Service for Failing to Comply with Probation.

Ferreira is described as 5’6”, 175 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. Ferreira is known to frequent the areas of Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto.
