London, July 24 (ANI): Reigning Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton was in impressive form as he completed a practice double for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday.
The world champion was 0.351 seconds ahead of Daniil Kvyat in second place and 0.719secs ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, the BBC reported.
Hamilton’s quickest lap of one minute 23.949 seconds was more than half-a-second ahead of Rosberg who finished the session as the fourth fastest.
Hamilton had emerged out as the fastest driver in the first practice session as well.
Earlier, Sergio Perez of Force India came out unhurt from a dramatic crash in the first practice session in Budapest.
The Mexican driver suffered a rear suspension failure as his car flipped after hitting the wall and finished upside down on the exit of turn 11. (ANI)
