Johannesburg, Mar 22 (ANI): South Africa all-rounder JP Duminy has been ruled out of his side’s third group game against West Indies in the World Twenty20 on Friday after failing to recover substantially from a hamstring strain sustained during their previous clash against Afghanistan.
The 31-year-old stylish batsman, who smacked unbeaten scores of 54 and 29 in his last two games, suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s victory over Afghanistan while chasing a ball to the boundary, Sport24 reported.
However, Duminy has not been ruled of his side’s final group game against defending champions Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on Monday. He will be monitored over the next days. (ANI)
