Harkirat Singh to run for Brampton City Councillor

BRAMPTON

PDSB Trustee Harkirat Singh for Ward 9 and 10 this week announced his intention to run for City Councillor representing the same ward in Brampton. Over 500 people attended his annual keertan program where he made his announcement. This annual annual keertan is held in order to update his family and friends on his accomplishments as a Trustee and announce future initiatives.

Among his major accomplishments has been bringing Kabaddi into schools and launching a pilot project out of Louise Arbour SS where Punjabi will be taught during regular school hours and improving student engagement in schools.

Those that were in attendance included Trustee Kathy McDonald, Councillor Raj Sandhu, Leader of the Federal NDP Jagmeet Singh, Councillor Gupreet Dhillon and MP Ruby Sahota.

Harkirat Singh has two Masters degree. An MSc in Economics and an MBA from the prestigious Schulich School of Business. He is also a Professor at Humber College. Municipal elections in 2018
will be held on
October 22.
