Except for his handsome, young face, Harshvardhan Kapoor does not betray any sign of making his debut in the film industry. According to Mirzaya trailer, his acting looks mature beyond his years. confident and appealing.
Playing the warrior in Mirzaya, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash, has been an arduous task, according to Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan. Coming from a filmie family does not give him any leeway in the industry. He had to learn the art of horse riding and hard work and discipline to master physical transformation to gel into a character which, according to what we have seen in the trailer, straddles two historical periods.
“To go from being a non-rider to a very accomplished rider and archer, it took 18 months to emotionally get to that point…to physically transform for the character was the most difficult thing,” Harshvardhan said in an interview.
He is paired opposite a newcomer Saiyami Kher, niece of Tanvi Azmi.
The film, written by Gulzar, is a take on the tragic love story of Mirza-Sahiban.
Both Harshvardhan, 25, and Saiyami, 24, underwent rigorous horse-riding training. He had to do other stunts like riding with a lady on horseback along hostile terrain and firing arrows while being mobile on the horse.
The actor says while shooting in Jaisalmer, he fell off the horse. He got up and continued to act, but soon collapsed on the set due to dizziness. Later during a scuffle he fell down and lay unconscious. At the hospital where he came around, it was found that he had suffered head concussion.
“I had a concussion to the head because I accidentally landed on the back of my head during the scuffle sequence,” Harshvardhan said.
The film is scheduled to release on October 7 and looks like something to worth waiting for. – CINEWS
