Harshvardhan Rane talks doing Bejoy Nambiar’s movie and other Telugu projects. Harshvardhan Rane’s debuts in Bollywood with movie ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ which helped him in bagging a movie Bejoy Nambiar, the man behind movies like Wazir, Shaitan.
It will be his 3rd movie which will be remake of Mani Ratnam’s Agni Natchathiram, which released in 1988, and was also dubbed in Telugu as Gharshana.
Harshvardhan talks how he bags role in Bejoy Nambiar’s movie, he said, “I got a call from Bejoy sir, who offered me the role. He had watched my work in Sanam Teri Kasam. He also said that he had always been a big fan of his work… and even Mani Ratnam sir’s films. I like Bejoy’s style of movie making and the music is always so good in all his movies.
The movie will scheduled to go on floors in few months and also adds that his role will surprise his fans. He says, “It’s too early to talk about the role, but it’s definitely something that people have not seen me doing. I always try that my next film is different than my last movie. I would like to surprise my audience…that I think is the job of an actor. It feels like my first film all over again.”
Though it’s a remake, Harshvardhan is not worried about the comparisons people would draw with the original. “I look at it as a fresh script. I got connected to the current script. I don’t watch a lot of Tamil films, so I haven’t watched the original movie. But you can’t stop people from comparing. They are free to compare.”
Harsh also has a Telugu movie in his kitty and is currently trying to manage his dates, since it clashes with the dates of his B’town project. “I have signed a Tollywood movie but we are currently trying to manage the dates. I am trying my best to do both the films.
I just can’t stop doing Telugu films just when I have started speaking a little better Telugu,” he jokes and adds, “The Telugu film is going to be shot in the US for a schedule of 40 days… When they need one chunk of dates, it becomes a little difficult. But we are trying to work it out. But I am not opting out of any of these projects, I am here to only work. There is nothing else to do in my life… I have no family, relationships — this is the only thing that I do.” “CINEWS”
