Hiddink admits beleaguered Chelsea `not easy` to fix

Johannesburg, Dec. 24 (ANI): Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has admitted that it was ‘not easy’ to fix problems that the defending champions are facing this season.

The 69-year-old was brought back for a second spell as manager until the end of the season after Jose Mourinho was sacked from his position last week.

Chelsea have lost nine out of their last 17 Premier League games, which left them just three points above the relegation zone.

Reflecting on Chelsea’s alarming slump, Hiddink said that it was frightening for everyone in the club and called on his players to ‘look in the mirror’ and ask if they’re up to the task of restoring the club to its former glory, Sport24 reported.

However, Chelsea claimed a convincing 3-1 win over Sunderland last Saturday and will next play against Watford under the guidance of Hiddink on Saturday. (ANI)
