Higher reaches in Himachal experience snowfall

Shimla, Dec. 26 (ANI): The higher reaches of different districts in Himachal Pradesh are experiencing snowfall since Saturday afternoon, further intensifying the present cold wave in the state.

The MeT office has predicted rain or snowfall at many places in the mid and high hills during the next 24 hours.

After continuous light snowfall on higher reaches in Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnuar, Chamba, Shimla and Kangra districts, the severe cold wave has further tightened its grip since afternoon.

In tribal areas, where the temperature has dropped several degrees below minus, people are using traditional heaters to save them from this cold wave.

The chilly wind has also increased misery of people of this hill state. (ANI)
