New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday called on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley here and sought hassle-free credit facility.

He told the Finance Minister that state cooperative banks have not been made member lending institutions under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for micro and small enterprises and small farmers agri-business consortium.

“Owing to this reason, potential entrepreneurs are not getting collateral-free loans facility under the government of India programmes like Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana,” an official statement quoting Thakur said.

Seeking his personal intervention to ensure facilitating easy and hassle-free credit facility, he said this would not only help the cooperative banks in expanding credit portfolios but also go a long way in creating livelihood as well as growth and diversification of agriculture and agro-based industries.
