New Delhi, Jan. 25 (ANI): French President Francois Hollande on Monday attended a banquet dinner hosted by his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.
Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Manohar Parrikar, Arun Jaitley, Piyush Goyal and Ravi Shankar Prasad were also present at the event along with Congress delegation of Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and Anand Sharma.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran leader LK Advani, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung were among the dignitaries present who met President Hollande.
Before the banquet dinner, Vice President Hamid Ansari also called on President Hollande.
Earlier today, President Hollande held bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad House, which will be followed by signing of 14 agreements between both sides in various key sectors.
The French President on Tuesday will witness the Republic Day parade at Rajpath as the chief guest.
This is the fifth time that a serving President of France will be the chief guest at India’s Republic Day function. (ANI)
