Hollywood blockbuster shuts down stretch of Yonge Street

One of the biggest movies ever filmed in Toronto will, once again, shut down a stretch of Yonge Street tonight as Suicide Squad films a high-speed chase. Over the weekend the cast and crew filmed a helicopter crash in the
financial district, and earlier this month a train scene shut down the Union Station bus terminal. Yonge Street was shut down last month for another chase scene and, prior to that, for a plane crash.
The movie stars Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margo Robbie, among others, but only the stunt doubles are expected to be working. Over 500 local actors and crew are working on this film.
