New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) The capital experienced a hot and humid day on Friday with the maximum temperature settling at 37.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, the Met office said. It has forecast rain or drizzle on Saturday.
“There would be generally cloudy sky on Saturday. Rain or drizzle is likely to occur,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
It was a partly cloudy yet warm Friday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, while the humidity oscillated between 74 and 48 per cent.
The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 37.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average.
