Washington D.C., Mar. 22 (ANI): Hulk Hogan was recently awarded with additional 25 million dollars in punitive damages in his sex tape lawsuit, pushing up his total haul to 140 million dollars.
The jury ordered that the 62-year-old wrestler will be getting 15 million dollars from Gawker Media, site owner Nick Denton will pay him 10 million dollars and A.J. Daulerio, who is responsible for posting the tape, has to give him 100,000 dollars, reports TMZ.com.
Last week, the jury awarded Hogan with 115 million dollars for actual damages.
Meanwhile, Gawker Media issued a statement saying it is confident the verdict will be overturned on appeal. The site maintains it has a right to post the tape because it was newsworthy and therefore protected by the First Amendment. (ANI)
