Washington, D.C., Sept. 16 (ANI): Hungary has started mass arrests of migrants, who are trying to sneak across the country’s frontiers after Hungary shot down the main corridor, fortifying its border with 109 miles of razor-wire fencing.
According to The Washington Post, more than 150 refugees were detained after Hungary drew its line in the sand.
The country’s get-tough approach to the European refugee crisis created an immediate bottleneck and howls of protest.
Hungary’s neighbouring countries, migrants and humanitarian organizations condemned the move, staging spontaneous demonstrations along the newly-erected fence. (ANI)
