Last week a Brampton man Maninder Singh Sandhu was gunned down outside a Rexdale-based trucking company Saturday morning.

Police responded to an emergency call at BTI Cartage, at 325 Humber College Blvd., around 2:45 a.m. to find a man with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Forensics officers are combing for evidence and officers are canvassing the area in an effort to find possible witnesses to the crime. Police are also looking for surveillance footage from the area in the hopes of getting an image of the killer.

An autopsy on Sandhu was scheduled for Saturday afternoon. An employee of BTI said the murder victim worked there and was a “good, hard worker.”

Anyone who might have been in the area on Friday, Sept. 30 or early Oct. 1 who may have seen or heard anything, or anyone else with information, can call police at 416-808-7400 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477). – CINEWS
