New Delhi, Jan. 18 (ANI): The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday appealed to the citizens of Delhi, to keep their areas clean and avoid throwing eatables and garbage in all the days leading upto 26 January, in view of the flypast at heights varying from 60 to 500 metres and the associated flight safety concerns posed by birds.

Birds pose a serious threat to aircraft flying at low levels as eatables thrown out in the open attract them.

To ensure a safe fly past, the Indian Air Force has requested the citizens of Delhi, and its neighbourhood not to throw eatables and garbage in the open.

Citizens have also been asked to alert the nearest Air Force Unit or Police Station and report instances of carcasses found in the open.
