Washington DC, July 11 (ANI): Hollywood legendary actor Omar Sharif, who was earlier diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, has died in Cairo due to heart attack. He was 83.
The ‘Doctor Zhivago’ star’s agent and Egyptian state media informed that the actor had been in the hospital for last month, TMZ.com reported.
Antonio Banderas, who starred with the Egyptian actor in 1999’s ‘The 13th Warrior’ remembered his co-star on Twitter expressing his sorrow, “My great friend Omar Sharif has passed away. I will always miss him. He was one of the best”.
Sharif was also nominated in Oscars for his spectacular role in ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and won a Golden Globes award for his role and for ‘Zhivago.’ (ANI)
