New Delhi, Sep 3 (IANS) His latest directorial “Don’t Breathe” has a heist at its core, but director Fede Alvarez hasn’t ever even stolen a candy himself. But if he had to steal something, it would be money, he says.

The Uruguayan filmmaker — known for helming the “Evil Dead” remake — was asked by IANS that if he had to steal something or plan a heist, what would it be or for.

Responding via an email, Alvarez said: “Tough question. I never stole anything in my life. I have friends and cousins that did that, but kids you know, they go through the door and they steal a candy, I’d never be able to do anything remotely to that, so I wouldn’t know.

“But if I want to be smart about it, I’d probably go with the money, I wouldn’t take anything personal object or anything that means a lot to the family. I’d try to take insurance claimable, like then the family is not damaged and I’m basically stealing from the bank.”
