As the weather improves, beer guzzling and speeding becomes irresistible for many young men and women and with it comes great danger.
Just this week Mugunthan Ratnasiningam, a 33-year-old Mississauga man was charged after crashing an ice-cream truck into several parked vehicles and causing damage to a house in a Brampton neighbourhood late last night.
Peel Regional Police said they responded to a call shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night on Travis Crescent, in the area of Bovaird Drive West and Chinguacousy Road.
Police said the driver of the ice cream truck struck several parked vehicles, forcing one of them into a house, causing damage to the vehicles as well as minor damage to the house.
The driver remained on the scene and no injuries were reported in the incident. It could’ve been a lot worse if there were children milling around the ice cream truck as is often the case in the short summer months. He is scheduled to appear in Brampton court on May 27.
