Indo-Canadian Club celebrates Republic Day in Milton

Milton, January 29 (CINEWS): The Indo Canadian Club celebrated 67th Indian Republic Day celebration at Lions Club Hall in Milton, Canada. Mayor Gordon Krantz, MPP Indiraa Naidoo Harris and Regional Councillor Rick De Loranzo were present to grace the event. The families took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and came dressed in their regional ethnic wears.
After the speeches in both Hindi and English by small Kids and National Anthem for both India and Canada, the celebrations were packed with cultural performances by Kids and Families and tasty Indian delicacies brought in and shared by all families.
Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.[1]
Indo Canadian Club is a community group formed for all Indians living in Canada to meet, network, interact and benefit. Initiated by Vandana and Raj Bhatt, this group is an effort to bring the entire Indian community of all religions living in Canada together.
