Johannesburg, Feb.1 (ANI): Australian skipper Aaron Finch is unlikely to feature in the upcoming T20 World Cup due to hamstring injury which he suffered during the second T20 of the three-match series against India in Melbourne on Friday.
Speaking on the matter, Cricket Australia (CA) said that although the 29-year-old would not undergo surgery, they said that the skipper’s rehabilitation program might take some time, Sport24 reported.
Meanwhile, CA medical manager Alex Kountouris said that they were planning to work on Finch’s fitness ahead of the World T20.
The tournament will take place in India, starting from March 11. (ANI)
