Rio de Janeiro, June 9 (IANS) The Brazilian national football squad have published their official FIFA World Cup photo, which shows injured players Fred and Renato Augusto, dispelling speculation that they might be dropped.
The photograph — which was posted on the Brazilian Football Confederation’s official website — was taken early on Friday at the Tottenham Hotspur training complex in London, where the team has been practicing for the last week, reports EFEn news agency.
The official photograph, a tradition of the five-time World Cup champions, shows the 23 players along with coach Tite and his 10 assistants.
The image also includes Renato Augusto — who missed Sunday’s friendly against Croatia due to a knee injury and is back to training — and Fred, who is recovering from an ankle injury suffered in practice.
Brazil later travelled to Vienna ahead of their last pre-World Cup friendly against Austria.
