London, Oct. 11 (ANI): Families of the three Alcatraz inmates, who were presumed dead after escaping from the island prison more than 50 years ago, claim that the brothers survived the escape and may be still alive today.
The officials had insisted that the brothers John and Clarence Anglin and fellow inmate Frank Morris drowned after the escape, but relatives of the Anglin’s have said that they had proof the men survived the escape, which includes a photograph which they claim was evidence they were alive in the 1970s and a Christmas card, The Daily Mail reports.
The image will be revealed in a new History Channel documentary on the escape.
During the incredible escape, the inmates left paper-mache heads with their own hair attached in their beds to make it look like they were on the bed.
The Angling brothers had set sail from the shore of Alcatraz and were never seen again. (ANI)
