Inquest into death of construction worker Mark Norman

Dr. James Edwards, Regional Supervising Coroner for the Central Region, Toronto East Office, on Tuesday  announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Mark Norman.

Mr. Norman, 43, died on March 12, 2013, while working on a construction project in Toronto. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.

The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Norman’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.  The inquest is expected to last eight days and hear from approximately 12 witnesses.

The inquest will begin  at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Forensic Services and Coroners Complex, Court Room B, 25 Morton Shulman Ave., Toronto. Dr. Roger Skinner will preside as inquest coroner and Oslyn Braithwaite will serve as coroner’s counsel. CINEWS
