Lambi (Punjab), Apr. 5 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday cautioned people to be aware of the malicious propaganda of ‘seasonal birds’, and said that the interests of the state are safe, only in the hands of SAD-BJP alliance.
“The interests of state are safe only in hands of the SAD-BJP alliance, which was devoted fully to the all round development of the state and prosperity of its people. Due to ensuing assembly polls a number of ‘seasonal birds’ have ended their period of hibernation and are indulging in all sort of political tantrums to attain political power in state,” Badal told a public gathering at Lambi today.
Badal said that while one such bird was donning the cap of Aam Aadmi another one- the Congress, which was a known enemy of state, was experimenting with new methods to woo the people.
He exhorted the people to judge these people by their actions rather than their words.
Badal also reminded the people that like chameleons, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership has been changing its color on issues pertaining to the state.
“The Congress Party has a notorious past of meting out a step motherly treatment to the state,” he added.
Badal asked whether anyone could forgive the Congress for denying Punjab, its legitimate share of river waters and Punjabi speaking areas, adding that its hands were also drenched with gruesome murders of innocent Sikhs during the anti Sikh carnage in several parts of country and Operation Blue Star.
Reminding the people of glorious legacy of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), he said the party has always remained on forefront at the securing the interests of the state.
“We are the true sympathisers of the state and are always ready to make any sacrifice for safeguarding the interests of the state,” Badal said.
Later, while interacting with media persons at the residence of the Chairman of the Punjab Agro Food grains Corporation, Jathedar Dyal Singh Kolianwali, Badal said it was unfortunate that the opposition was unnecessarily politicising each and every issue in the state. (ANI)
