Actor Boman Irani is open to the idea of going to Hollywood to explore a “different world of acting” — albeit only when a “substantial” opportunity comes knocking at his door.
Several stars from Indian cinema are exploring possibilities beyond Indian shores but Actor Boman Irani believes that just jumping into the bandwagon to find opportunities is not enough if the opportunities do not offer substantial work.
While Boman, 56, is not averse to the idea of working in the west, he says he won’t jump onto the bandwagon with a run-of-the-mill role.
“If something substantial comes my way, I will (explore Hollywood). An actor will always like to explore different mediums, different styles of acting and different world of acting,” Boman told a media interview.
“If something comes, sure enough. If not, then I am content in whatever I do here,” he added.
The actor, who is the brand ambassador for Ambi Pur India and is busy urging people to take a Smelfie Challenge to rid their homes of odour, is known for films like Happy New Year, Housefull 3, Student of the Year and 3 Idiots.
As far as Bollywood is concerned, Boman says he is going through a few projects, but refrains from spilling any information about them.
A few days ago he said he is enjoying being a new grand father and instead of feeling old he “feels young at heart”. – CINEWS
