Irrfan Khan, the 49-year-old Indian actor, met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on July 19, and asked for an audience with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi is yet to confirm whether he would meet the Lunchbox star.
What does the star wants to ask Modi?
“There are so many on my mind, I cannot just ask one. It depends on the mood but the one question that weighs on everyone is accountability,” he said.
Irrfan’s film Madaari is to be released on July 22. The movie is a social thriller pertinent to the current political scenario in India.
Of Madaari taking on Rajnikanth’s Kabaali on July 22, the actor said his film is no competition to Rajinikanth’s greatness. “There is enough space for both films,” he added.
Irrfan Khan’s Hollywood movie Inferno is also set for a release in October. He said working with Hollywood director Ron Howard and actor Tom Hanks was a unique experience. – CINEWS
