Salman Khan’s Sultan has earned Rs 500 crore at the international box office and it is still going strong.
This makes it the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film ever. Dhoom 3 (Rs 542 crore), Baahubali (Rs 600 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 626 crore) and PK (Rs 792 crore).
With Rs. 271.03 crore from the local box office, Salman Khan’s Sultan is set to challenge Aamir Khan’s record of Dhoom 3 which had brought in Rs. 284.27 crore.
The manner in which the Ali Abbas Zafar film is currently performing at the Box Office, it should go past Dhoom 3 on Saturday or Sunday, according to industry watchers.
Sultan is a romantic sports-drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. The film stars Salman Khan in the title character opposite Anushka Sharma. The film focuses on Sultan Ali Khan, a fictional wrestling champion from Haryana whose successful career creates a rift in his personal life. It was released on July 6. – CINEWS
