Islamophobia Legal Assistance Hotline coming

Vancouver, March 11 (CINEWS): Legal groups have announced that the Islamophobia Legal Assistance Hotline will be set up shortly to assist individuals who have experienced discrimination to connect with free legal assistance.
This follows a nationwide increase in reported incidents of racial and faith-related discrimination against Muslims in recent months.
The groups are the Community Legal Assistance Society, BC Public Interest Advocacy Centre, and BC Civil Liberties Association.
Those addressing a press conference will be Aleem Bharmal, Executive Director, Community Legal Assistance Society, Sarah Khan, Staff Lawyer, BC Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Hasan Alam, lawyer, Krisha Dhaliwal, South Asian Bar Association of BC, and Josh Paterson, BC Civil Liberties Association.
