Rahul Raj Singh, who has been reserved for abetting the suicide of performing artist Pratyusha Banerjee, on Friday said that he had never hit her and he cherished her.

While addressing the media after a FIR was held up against him by Pratyusha’s guardians for strike, intimidation and abetment of suicide, Mr Singh, asked, “On the off chance that I was ambushing their little girl, then why had they never stopped a police protestation against me, and why did they permit me to stay with Pratyusha?”
As indicated by Mr Singh, Pratyusha was under colossal obligation. The police has been suspecting that budgetary issues was one reason behind Pratyusha making the compelling stride.
Remarking on the Banerjees’ assertions, Mr Singh said, “I don’t know how they have such a large amount of time… They don’t have the self-acknowledgment that they have lost a relative (sic).”
Prior, Pratyusha’s guardians had tended to a public interview, where they considered Mr Singh in charge of Pratyusha’s suicide furthermore suspected that it could be a homicide.
As per Mr Singh, as he was not wedded to Pratyusha, he couldn’t make any assertions about her or her family. Mr Singh communicated his trust in the legal, saying truth would turn out. “I’m not attempting to demonstrate any point but rather they (Pratyusha’s guardians) are attempting to demonstrate their point,” he said.
According to the court request on Friday, Mr Singh went to the Bangur Nagar Police headquarters to give his announcement. In the interim, clergyman of state (home) Ranjit Patil put out an announcement saying, “We have gotten the letter and have requested that police authorities take up the case on a high-need premise.
