J-K Congress leader meets Rahul Gandhi, discusses post-JNU situation

New Delhi, Mar.10 (ANI): Salman Nizami, a leading member of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Congress Party, met party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday and discussed various issues including the post-JNU situation.

During their brief meeting, Nizami said he apprised Gandhi of the impact of the recent JNU episode across the country.

Rahul Gandhi, according to Nizami, reiterated his full faith in the Indian judiciary and was hopeful that the real culprits behind the incident would be brought to book.

Nizami said that he had told the Congress vice-president that he was working tirelessly for the student community so that their legitimate voices were not suppressed by anti-youth and communal forces.

“Rahul Gandhiji is committed for the welfare of every Indian and believes in working behind the scenes,” said Nizami. (ANI)
