Actor Tiger Shroff said that he took Chinese action comedy star Jackie Chan as an inspiration for his role in the Flying Jatt, and also added that he wants to become Spider Man.
Superhero films are usually action oriented but Flying Jatt is an action comedy, in which Tiger will also be seen doing martial arts. “Jackie Chan was one of my childhood heroes and he uses comedy so effortlessly with action”, Tiger said at the music launch of the film.
“Since my childhood, I have been a fan of Spider Man because, I think he has the maximum humanity; he is very human and at the same time very mortal. He even gets hurt. He comes from a humble background, but when he wears the costume, he forgets all about it and pressures of the society on him,” said Tiger.
“He’s just a different guy and he is just living his life; he is just a boy saving the world. So I really like that aspect and one day I want to become the Spider Man,” Tiger said. He added: “Since childhood, I wanted to become a superhero. When I do anything in real life, I believe that I am a superhero, like in the way I fight or dance. It was a dream come true when Remo (D’Souza) sir offered me Flying Jatt.
Tiger’s idols – Hrithik Roshan in Krrish, Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One and his father Jackie Shroff in Shiva Ka Insaaf – have played some of the other superhero characters he admires.
“I am playing a superhero so early on in my career. So, the journey was very difficult. All of them have been my inspirations. Right from Hrithik sir to my father, there is an expectation, and a nervous pressure. Lot of preparations had to be done in this film regarding action,” he said.
“I think my character is a different kind of superhero, a superhero with a twist basically,” Tiger explained further.
Flying Jatt also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and is set to hit the screen on August 25. – CINEWS
