Janhvi’s onscreen mom worried about Sridevi’s daughters (TV Snippets)

Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS) Actress Shalini Kapoor, who is playing the mother of Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s character in a film, says she is worried about the late star’s children.

Following the news of Sridevi’s death in Dubai on Saturday night, the nation was engulfed in sorrow. She is survived by husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi.

“I’m saddened by the news of untimely demise of my idol Sridevi. She will always be remembered for her diverse roles and memorable performances. My thoughts are with her family and admirers. But I’m more worried about her daughters,” Shalini, who will play Janhvi’s mother in “Dhadak”, said in a statement.

“I am playing mom to her elder daughter Janhvi. I have learnt about the love between her and Sridevi. That really can’t be described in words. My heart goes out to her. May Srideviji’s soul rest in peace,” she added.

Aditi Rathore wants to work with Bhansali

Actress Aditi Rathore, who stars in Mahesh Bhatt’s show “Naamkarann”, wishes to work with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali some day.

Born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Aditi has always been a fan of Bhansali due to the rich culture he presents in his films like “Devdas”, “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani”.

“I have been watching his films since my childhood days. When I saw ‘Padmaavat’, I was totally floored by all the performances and my respect for Sanjay sir grew. I really wish to be directed by him some day on the small screen,” Aditi said in a statement.

Bhansali was last associated with the Star Plus show “Saraswati Chandra”.


Sara Khan holidaying in Dubai

Actress Sara Khan is enjoying her holidays in Dubai.

“I am in Dubai for holidays with my sister. I have my family friends here. Visiting Dubai has always been a treat for me,” Sara said in a statement.
