Javadekar at Pakistan Day function as government representative

New Delhi, March 23 (IANS) Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday attended the Pakistan Day function at the high commission here as the official representative of the Indian government.

Huriyat Conference leaders Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Agha Sayeed and Nayeem Khan attended the function hosted by Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit.

Congress MP Mani Shankar Aiyar and eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani were also present.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Pakistan on their National Day.

“Greetings to the people of Pakistan on their National Day,” he tweeted.
