Javadekar denies meeting DMDK Chief Vijayakanth

New Delhi, Mar. 9 (ANI): Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, who is also BJP’s election in-charge in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday refuted reports that he met Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) chief Vijayakanth and discussed a ‘Common Minimum Program’ and added that he would go to Press Council and file a complaint in this regard.

“The news report that I spoke to DMDK Chief Vijayakanth about a Common Minimum Program is false. I condemn this news that I have talked with Vijayakant or his family and we are going together and we are having common minimum programme is wrong. I haven’t spoken to anybody, this is rubbish,” Javadekar told ANI.

“I will go to the Press Council to file a complaint against the same,” he added.

Earlier a report claimed that the BJP election in-charge in Tamil Nadu has sealed a deal with DMDK.

The report also claimed that Javadekar, who visited Chennai last week, met Vijayakanth at the latter’s home.

The report further claimed that BJP and DMDK are hopeful of reaching out with a common minimum programme and also to project Vijayakanth as the Chief Minister of the state. (ANI)
