JNU student commits suicide in South Delhi apartment

New Delhi, Mar.10 (ANI): A Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student allegedly committed suicide in his apartment in Delhi’s Ber Sarai area on Thursday.

His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his apartment at the Guardian Hostel located in South Delhi.

A suicide note has been found from the apartment and the police is investigating the matter. The police said that the incident did not take place inside the university campus and added that the student allegedly committed suicide by hanging.

The deceased student has been identified as Dushyant Dikshit, a native of Dhanita village, Bareilly.

Prima facie, it appears that the cause behind the suicide could be personal. (ANI)
