New Delhi, Sept. 19 (ANI): Disappointed with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to join hands with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Janata Dal (United) leader Satish Kumar on Saturday said he joined BJP to be a part of state’s development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Under the rule of Nitish Kumar and with the alliance of BJP, Rabri Devi’s jungle raj was put to an end and Bihar was moving ahead on the path of development. Then Nitish Kumar’s ambition grew so much that he separated from the BJP. And now, to save himself, he has befriended Lalu Yadav, who had spread an atmosphere of fear in Bihar,” Satish Kumar told media here.
“When Nitish separated from BJP, he did not take the opinion of any MLA. Our views were ignored. So I have finally decided to do this for development of Bihar. Development of Bihar is possible only unde4r the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added.
Satish Kumar, who was a Janata Dal (United) MLA from Raghopur, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today, weeks ahead of Bihar assembly elections.
According to reports, two JD (U) MLAs and a former RJD MLA had also joined the BJP a day before the recently held ‘Swabhiman Rally’. (ANI)
