The International Day of Yoga is a day families should mark on their calendar. It will be a fun event filled with music and of course, Yoga.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Brampton Soccer Centre. The event organized by the Art of Living Centre.
“We’ll have a packed day starting with opening ceremonies, demonstrations of different types of Yoga, food stalls, exhibits and more,” says Anju Malhotra, a member of the event organizing committee. “After 6 pm guests will enjoy live Sufi and soulful musical performances and the event will end with an energetic Yoga Rave.”
The UN General Assembly proclaimed June 21st as the International Day of Yoga in 2014, with 175 nations co-sponsoring the resolution – the highest number for any such General Assembly resolution ever. This year the International Day of Yoga will be marked for the second time.
