New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said on Wednesday it will not organise the customary farewell for Justice J. Chelameswar after he expressed his inability to attend it, citing “personal reasons”.

Justice Chelameswar conveyed this to SCBA President Vikas Singh when he called on the outgoing judge for the invite.

Confirming that farewell function will not be held, Vikas Singh told IANS that Justice Chelameswar has cited “personal reasons” for not attending the customary send-off function. His demits office on June 22.
