Kailash Kher lauds recitation of Sanskrit shlokas by Irish kids, says ‘knowledge is spiritual’

San Jose, Sept. 26 (ANI): Singer Kailash Kher, who will perform live for Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his band Kailasa at Silicon Valley, California, today appreciated the recitation of shlokas in Sanskrit by the Irish students and said that such events should not be politicised.

“In Ireland, the students recited the shlokas in Sanskrit. I also read a post on Twitter by Modi ji that if such an event would have taken place in India then it would have been linked to religion. But knowledge is not religious, it is spiritual. Everyone understands this, but still they are busy playing their shallow game,” Kher told ANI here.

Kher also took to Twitter to show his admiration for Prime Minister Modi.

“Meeting my favourite PM @narendramodi @PMOIndia in #SiliconValley #Kailasa #Music #Passion come together,” he wrote.

Prime Minister Modi had earlier nominated the singer to take forward his message to clean India through the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign. (ANI)
