Kangana Ranaut has said in a media interview, that she had access to money quite early in life and was surrounded by people who got into bad habits, but she managed to lead a normal life within her budget.
Kangana is the only other actor after Shabana Azmi to win two National Awards back to back. But her Bollywood journey has not been easy. Her father had refused to let her enter films, but as Kangana put it: “For my life, I need to make my own choices.”
“I love that my father resisted my choices. It gave me a lot more stamina. Even when I was rebelling against my father, the point was to follow my own intuition and instinct,” she added.
Speaking about her impressive Bollywood journey so far and no movies opposite the big Khans of the silver screen, Kangana said, “Initially I wanted a traditional route where I wanted to work with big heroes.
“When I started working, I was just 17. I had access to money and there were people around me who used to do drugs, become shopaholics or just some other kind of addict. To my credit, I chose a healthy path. In this short span, I’ve not only bought a house for myself, but supported my family a lot.”
She went on to add she only began making serious money in the past two-three years. – CINEWS
