Kanopy offers free streaming to Brampton library card holders

Kanopy, a free film streaming service is now available to Brampton card holders who can now stream a total of 30,000 titles.

The on-demand platform gives users access to countless documentaries, feature films, classic films and rare/hard-to-find titles. Users don’t have to be in the library to access the service.

Founded in 2008, Kanopy is available in more than 200 library systems and 1,200 individual public libraries across Canada and U.S. cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle, New Orleans and Baltimore.

Kanopy Kids, which was launched earlier this year is the other service offering developmentally appropriate age-based ratings from Common Sense Media, as well as additional parent controls.
Kanopy can be accessed from several platforms, such as Roku, Chromecast, AppleTV, iOS and android. It can be viewed on smartphones, tablets and computers.
