Kareena Kapoor is glad that the film ‘Udta Pujab’ is at long last released and says it is a triumph for Abhishek Chaubey, the film’s director. In a report, the Kareena Kapoor was cited as saying, “I have never experienced such a major censor problem with my movies before. In fact, a battle against censorship has never been fought like this before, that it became a movement. As we move ahead with time, the laws related to art and culture need to be reassessed, including the Act we have for film certification.”

Kareena  who was most recently seen in R Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’ says she is fortunate to have done two altogether different types of film that were based upon  different subjects. “Balki was more sweet and so was the world he created. Chaubey, on the other hand, is more gritty and tells stories set in a dark world. He has explored the drug problem and its effects with amazing expertise. The way ‘Ki and Ka’ was not a documentary on gender equality, ‘Udta Punjab’ is not a documentary on drugs. At the end of the day, we are making films. Our job is to entertain,” she said.   – CINEWS
