KM Mani resigns ‘voluntarily’, Govt. chief whip follows suit

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 10 (ANI): Amid mounting pressure over the bar bribery scam, Kerala finance minister K M Mani resigned from the state cabinet on Tuesday and he was joined by government chief whip Thomas Unniyadan who also stepped down to express solidarity.

“Expressing my respect towards law, I hereby tender my resignation. I made this decision after talking extensively with my team and I have sent my resignation to the Chief Minister,” Mani told the reporters here.

However, he asserted that he was ‘voluntarily’ retiring and was under no pressure whatsoever and would offer his unconditional support to the United Democratic Front (UDF). (ANI)
