Lalbaugcha Raja – A 360 degree experience in virtual reality

Live feed for Mumbai’s massive Ganpati festival

ganpatil festival 2For the first time ever there will be live coverage of the biggest and most beloved Ganpati festival in Mumbai through Lalbaugcha Raja, in virtual reality. This platform offers a 360 degree coverage of the event, for its entire duration, from the 5th of September up to the visarjan on the 16th. Live feed will be available for four hours everyday and the rest will be video on demand. Users can access the event – the darshan, aarti and other ancillary activities online, on their computers, smartphones or tablets by scrolling/tilting or by using any VR gear.

Large numbers of devotees would love to come for the darshan but are hesitant to navigate through the huge serpentine queues which can take hours for a darshan. They will now be able to experience live and immersivedarshan of the lord, anytime anywhere across the world.

Chapter 3 has partnered with AlterNet India, VR Creatives and Superlekha in bringing this platform to reality.
