Amethi, Jan.17 (ANI): Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Smriti Irani on Sunday took on the Congress Party and once again brought to limelight the controversy surrounding the public land allegedly transferred to Gandhi-family linked NGO Rajiv Gandhi Foundation here.

Addressing the media at Munshiganj, Irani who is on a two-day visit to Amethi, promised to rake up the land grab case till justice was meted out to the villagers.

Attacking Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, she said Rahul Gandhi calls Amethi his family, but he had cheated people there by usurping the land in the name of Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust.

“This was allotted by the erstwhile government for welfare of farmers by constructing schools, employment centres, and others,” she alleged.
